INTERPRETATION OF THE ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION BY ZAQA OF THE DISCONTINUED ZICA QUALIFICATIONS

The Institute has noted the questions raised by members and students on the interpretation of the
communication that was shared on 20th January 2022 through email and on the official ZICA social
media platforms with regards to accreditation and registration of the discontinued ZICA qualifications.
The Institute wishes to inform you that the discontinued qualifications i.e. NATech, ZICA Licentiate,
ZICA Technician, and ZICA Professional held by graduates of the Institute are still valid. The registration
and accreditation of these qualifications on the Zambia Qualifications framework (ZQF) are to ensure the
continued credibility and recognition of the discontinued qualifications by employers and stakeholders.
This will further effectively assist employers in understanding how the qualifications are graded on the
ZQF and their respective equivalents during the recruitment of ZICA students and members. Read more…
